Please join me and my friend John on our exciting 30 day trip to Nepal, back in early 2005. We were walking for eleven days through the world's deepest valley, and we crisscrossed the country using a motorbike at a time when the country was paralyced by transportation strike and state of emergency.

As you probably have understood, I am one of Jehovah's Witnesses. Some of what we have a strong passion for is to help people we meet to understand what they read in their own Bible.

So, when John invited me on a trip to Nepal, I was given the opportunity to participate in this exciting work under entirely different conditions than we are used to in our home country. Because, unlike in many Western countries, there are significantly more people in poor and / or underdeveloped countries who are looking for answers to the major issues of life, such as:

Why is there so much injustice? What happens when we die? What future is it for the earth and the people? Is it possible for people to live together in peace?

As Jehovah's Witnesses, we are convinced that the answers to these questions are found in the Bible, which is by far the world's most translated, printed and read book.

During our visit to Nepal, we experienced that many of the people there had great respect for the Bible, and a strong desire to understand what is the Bible message.
